Gutter & Fascia Replacement — Lysterfield

    Lysterfield, Melbourne VIC

Residential roof-edge maintenance involving the replacement of gutter and fascia sections, with photographic documentation of the original condition, installation work and finished result.

Before and after views of the residential roof edge.

    Installation Progress — During Works

    The challenge

The residential property required replacement work to deteriorated roof-edge guttering and fascia. Because these components meet at the roof perimeter, the work needed to address the affected sections together rather than treat the gutter and fascia as unrelated items.

    ALTUA assessment

The work focused on the condition and interfaces of the existing gutter and fascia at the roof edge. The scope was organised around removing the affected components, preparing the adjoining areas and installing replacement elements with attention to alignment and roof drainage connections.

    Our solution

ALTUA carried out gutter and fascia replacement at the residential property. The project photographs document the original roof-edge condition, stages of the work and the completed installation. The replacement scope was coordinated to address the gutter and its supporting fascia together.

    Works completed

    • Removal of affected gutter and fascia components
    • Preparation of the roof-edge work area
    • Installation of replacement fascia and gutter sections
    • Finishing and alignment of the replaced roof-edge elements

    Project outcome

The affected gutter and fascia sections were replaced, leaving a renewed roof-edge finish. The before, during and after photographs show the progression from the original components to the completed work.

Gutter & Fascia Replacement — Technical Considerations

Practical information about residential roof-edge repairs and replacement decisions.

Why are gutters and fascia often replaced together?

Gutters are mounted at the roof edge, often in direct connection with the fascia. Where both elements are deteriorated, addressing them together can avoid disturbing newly installed components during a later repair.

What should be checked before replacing residential guttering?

The condition of the fascia, gutter falls, outlets, downpipe connections and adjacent roof-edge details should be considered when planning the scope. The appropriate solution depends on the existing installation.

Does new guttering automatically solve every roof leak?

No. Gutters manage roof runoff, but leaks may also originate from flashings, roof coverings, penetrations or other junctions. The source of water entry should be identified before selecting repairs.
